Mercurius Corrosivus 200

Mercurius Corrosivus is characterized by violent inflammation, burning pains and marked tenesmus. It is especially associated with intense rectal and urinary symptoms.

There is frequent, ineffectual urging to stool, with burning and cutting pains. Stools may be hot, slimy, bloody and offensive. The anus and rectum may feel intensely burning, with severe tenesmus continuing after stool.

Urinary symptoms include frequent and urgent desire to urinate, burning in the urethra, scanty urine and painful bladder tenesmus.

The remedy is also associated with intense inflammation of the eyes, marked photophobia, acrid tears, swollen gums, inflammation of the mouth and painful swallowing.

Symptoms are often aggravated at night, with heat, touch and movement in some cases.
